Vinyl Floor Covering

Question by John R: What is a healthy floor covering (not Vinyl) for a bathroom floor in a Mobile Property with Partical Board floors?
I have a 1999 Fleetwood Mobile Home and I want to put a new floor cover in my bathroom. I do not want to use Vinyl, because the chemical substances it is stated to “put off” into the air, but I am unsure if I can use tile because of the flex and simply because of the weight. I pulled up some of the vinyl flooring that I have and located particle board underneath. What are my best “wholesome flooring” alternatives?

Linoleum can be installed over particle floorboards. Linoleum is straightforward to clean and protects the floor from moisture.
For tile, you would need to have to install cement tile back board (like WonderBoard) first to give the tile a firm surface. Engineered wood, like Pergo, or wood are other options.
